Hogtied

How about those Cats today? Good Lord can they be painful to watch, but they persevered and pulled out a gutty win against a young and talented Arkansas team. Personally I nearly turned the game off before halftime but luckily made it through to see them make their run in the second half.

Watching the Cats this season can be taxing as their half court offense resembles people standing in line at an all-you-can-eat buffet. But to Tubby's credit, he has held this team together. There was no quit in Kentucky today, an encouraging sign that confidence is growing in a team that desperately needs it.

The Morris dunk off the inbounds pass with :03 left on the shot clock was a key boost in the second half. It triggered an enthusiastic shout at our house which sent the dog upstairs and prompted a puzzled look from the boys. I'll have to talk to Amy about how excited she gets -- it's only a basketball game after all. ;-)

Go Big Blue!

Hi Derek! Amy Renfro was visiting me this weekend, and she showed me your blog. I had to write to tell you that your boys are adorable and I love your commentary. I have a cute little girl (8 month old Anne Porter) who would love to meet your boys one day. I hope you are all doing well. Meg Benningfield Blevins
