Our beloved Carolina Hurricanes won a nerve-wracking but exhilarating game seven of the conference finals last night 4-2 against Buffalo to advance to the Stanley Cup Finals. Amy actually turned the tide of the game when she pulled out all the stops and put on her Hurricanes jersey after the second period with the Canes trailing 2-1. This single-handedly propelled the Canes to score three third-period goals to put the game away. Today there is a lot of excitement across town with newspapers, radio, and water cooler chatter all buzzing about the Canes. It is a fun time to be a hockey fan in North Carolina right now. Go Canes!
